1 Being brave and wearing it down.
Perfectly undone, you wear your hair down most days right? It actually feels uncomfortable in an undo but everyone keeps telling you that you should wear it up as that what brides do… well you know what, you’re not every bride. You’re probably wearing a cool dress, a two piece or a jumpsuit, your name is on the invite, so I am pretty sure there is no confusion over who the bride is!
Polished or perfectly imperfect. There are two main ways to go here, super sleek hair as seen on…. or perhaps polished soft vintage waves….
or ethereal boho waves that create a loose shape, perhaps framing your face slightly at the front or just enough bend in the hair to add some additional interest and texture.

3. Hair bands
4. Hair crowns
5. Super messy chignon
Well I have kindly taken some of the hassle out for you… potentially. I say hassle because images inspiration for weddings and brides is saturated with heavy, overly contoured unauthentic makeup. I believe makeups primary use is to enhance our own natural beauty not cover up freckles, dysmophe face shapes and go against your hairs natural curl - unless that what you really want.
I have put together 10 boards for wedding hair and makeup trends for 2019/2020. I must say during my research (and i’ve had clients reiterate the same) there’s a distinct lack of diversity / real brides within the glossy magazines or reference images. Not everyone has thick waistlength locks ( not even the models, they often use wigs/extensions), they never have spots… um yes they do, it’s called photoshop darling.
We all know it but in a world where we constantly compare it’s very easy to feel quite low, quite quickly about the way we look, wanting more here, less there but you know what? They’re not you, they don’t have your life, your friends, your family. Rant over, lol .
